From your kitchen
a crockpot, a sieve for rinsing the lentils, salt and pepper.
What to do
- Rinse the lentils. Tip them into the crockpot with both cartons of broth, the tomatoes, the cumin, the onion, the garlic and the paprika.
- Lid on. Low for 8 hours, or high for 4. Go and live your life.
- Twenty minutes before eating, stir in the drained green beans. Salt it properly; lentils need more than you think.
- Serve. Freeze what is left. It gets better.
