From the grocery store
a 3 to 4 lb pork shoulder (Boston butt), buns. Any store, on the way home. Not in the cart button; we do not sell pork.
From your kitchen
a crockpot, two forks, salt and pepper.
What to do
- Rub the pork with the chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Into the crockpot, fat side up.
- Stir the BBQ sauce, the onion envelope and half the salsa together. Pour it over. Lid on. Low for 8 hours. Leave.
- Two forks. It falls apart on contact; that is what the 8 hours were for. Stir it back into the juices.
- On the buns. It makes more than you think. Tomorrow it goes in a tortilla pocket and becomes a different dinner.
